If you are planning to visit Poland in 2026 and are looking for inspiration for a tour around Poland, below you will find a list of the most interesting places to visit! We recommend well-known and popular places, but also those that are less frequently visited and equally beautiful. In recent years, Poland has developed significantly in terms of infrastructure, but it has also focused strongly on the development of tourism. As a result, every attraction is carefully maintained and promoted. Polish people have started to travel around Poland much more often, in order to discover well-promoted tourist attractions. Previously, foreign trips were a popular trend, but especially since the coronavirus pandemic, Polish people have begun to explore the country much more. That is why, nowadays, many tourist attractions are very crowded and it is better to visit them during the less busy months. Most tourists travel around Poland in July and August, but we definitely recommend May, June, September, and October! So, what tourist attractions are worth visiting during a tour in Poland? If you choose spring or fall for your trip, we definitely recommend spending time actively in nature. Poland is beautiful in both spring and fall. The Tatra and Pieniny Mountains are undoubtedly the most beautiful places for active recreation in nature. In the Tatra Mountains, you can visit the very interesting town of Zakopane, and then go trekking in the mountains or cycling around the Tatra Mountains. The Pieniny Mountains are also perfect for long hikes, but they offer yet another unique attraction. Rafting down the Dunajec River on wooden rafts is a long-standing tradition, unique on a European scale. If you prefer wild nature, we wholeheartedly recommend visiting north-eastern Poland. There you will find the Białowieża and Biebrza National Parks, where you can observe wild animals and large mammals such as bison, wolves, moose, and many more. In addition to nature, you will also see magnificent wooden Orthodox churches, the Land of Open Shutters, and other interesting rural monuments in this area. Tours in Poland | Most beautiful unknown cities for a trip in 2026!

Poland has several well-known and frequently visited cities, such as Krakow and Warsaw (you can read more about them here), but there are also many equally beautiful and much less known cities and towns. And today, we would like to suggest some of these lesser-known cities for a tour in Poland. And today, we would like to suggest some of these lesser-known cities for a tour in Poland. For starters, we recommend a medium-sized city with a huge number of historical monuments! We are talking about Toruń, a city whose entire old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Toruń, you will find the Gingerbread Museum (where you can make your own gingerbread!), for which the city is world-famous. Toruń is also the hometown of the famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, whose traces can be found in many places around the city. Another beautiful medium-sized town is Sandomierz. This town is famous for several things. First of all, it is known as “Little Rome” due to its location on seven hills and its rich history. The city is also the capital of striped flint, a unique gemstone mined in the area, which is used to decorate jewelry and other items. There are also many vineyards with excellent wines in Sandomierz and the surrounding area. A much larger city, but relatively unknown to foreign tourists, is Wrocław. It is known as the “City of 100 Bridges” (there are indeed over 100 bridges and footbridges there!), and also for its statues of dwarfs, which can be found throughout the city. The city is also famous for its rich cultural and entertainment offer, including the Africarium at the Zoo, the Racławice Panorama, and the Centennial Hall. The city of Lublin, Zamość, Poznań, Łódź, and Olsztyn are also worth visiting and are great alternatives to the crowded Krakow and Warsaw for a tour in Poland!

Historical places for a tour in Poland

If you are passionate about history, Poland offers a wide range of museums and memorial sites related primarily to World War II. The most famous and most frequently visited memorial site is the Museum established on the site of the former concentration camp in Auschwitz. It is the most frequently visited concentration camp in Poland, but of course it is not the only one. There are also many other memorial sites on the grounds of former camps: Majdanek (near Lublin), Płaszów (near Krakow), Treblinka, Bełżec, Sobibór, and in Sztutowo (near Gdańsk). Each of these places is worth visiting because it tells unique human stories who experienced the horrors of the II WorlWar. We also encourage you to visit other museums: the Warsaw Uprising Museum, the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, and Schindler's Factory in Krakow. These are, of course, just some of the many fascinating places commemorating World War II in Poland. If you are interested in earlier times, we recommend taking a trip to the most beautiful castles and ruins in Poland, which we have written more about here!
